Bahareh Bouzhmehrani, MC, RCC, CCC
Clinical Director- The Founder
As an Iranian-Canadian woman, Bahareh has navigated cultural adjustment, family dynamics, and the blending of diverse traditions—experiences that give her deep insight into the challenges many immigrants face and fuel her commitment to culturally sensitive care.
Inspired by a family member’s mental health journey, she pursued training in psychiatry, psychotropic medications, and counseling. With extensive experience in local Health Authorities supporting individuals with Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and other psychotic disorders, Bahareh brings both personal and professional wisdom to her work.
She specializes in trauma-informed care, using EMDR to support healing from complex trauma, including birth trauma and other women’s health-related experiences. She holds a certificate in women’s health, focusing on pre- and postnatal care, birth trauma, and menopause, integrating IFS, CBT, and other evidence-based approaches to provide compassionate, inclusive care that empowers individuals and families.
April Watson, Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)
April is an experienced Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of practice in Community Mental Health and is a registered Occupational Therapist with CHCPBC. April brings a rich skillset shaped by training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), YMind mindfulness for anxiety (rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and ADHD training for health professionals through CADDRA. Her expertise is complemented by many years of facilitating groups and she was recognized with a leadership award in 2007 for her contributions to mental health. Passionate about helping people thrive, April focuses on supporting young adults and adults to strengthen their executive functioning skills—whether it’s succeeding at work, preparing for the transition to university, managing academic deadlines, or staying on top of daily responsibilities at home. Her work is informed not only by her professional background but also by her experience dealing with ADHD and anxiety within her family. Outside of work, April enjoys life’s balance—spending time with her family, cheering on her two daughters who are now in university, walking her dog, and finding calm and energy through Pilates and yoga.
